Our client, a leader in the financial services sector seeks an experienced Operational Risk Manager to strengthen risk management and ensure robust compliance across operations. Supporting leadership, this role will drive strategic risk initiatives and enhance control measures.This position would be ideal for a proactive and analytical professional, this position focuses on managing operational risk, incident response, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate risk management training and development.
  • Lead business continuity frameworks, including impact assessments.
  • Manage operational risk assessments, registers, and heat maps.
  • Facilitate risk and control workshops and handle regulatory responses.
  • Lead incident response, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in risk and compliance.
  • Conduct assessments on data protection and supplier risk management.
  • Regularly monitor and report on risks, controls, and incidents.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 2+ years of operational risk experience in financial services, preferably insurance.
  • Knowledge of key regulatory and compliance requirements (GICOP, Privacy, RG271, CPS 230).
  • Strong skills in incident management, risk profiling, and risk reporting.
  • Effective relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Third Party Risk Management experience is advantageous.
