This is an established Financial Services group, with renowned brand collateral. They have an impressive Internal Audit team; however the IT Audit function was till recently outsourced. The CAE has opted to bring the IT Audit function in-house and is now recruiting for an experienced IT Audit Director. You will manage a small team with a mandate to focus on Cyber / Security / Infrastructure or Cloud audits across whole of group. Your main client contacts will be the BISO / TISO and the CISO.

Your duties: 
  • Manage the IT Audit strategy for the audit team.
  • Team leadership and coaching.
  • Leading all client conversations with strong stake holder management skills required.
  • Attending sub-committee and specialist steering committees, guest at the BARC meetings.
  • Create and implement the IT Audit framework across Cyber / Cyber / Security / Infrastructure or Cloud.
  • Experience gained in Cyber Security / Control frameworks such as ITIL / CoBIT or NIST / Essential Eight Maturity  and/or Protective Security Frameworks is required.

Your background:
Snr IT Audit Manager / EM IT Audit / IT Audit Director or small company Head of IT Audit / you could be in Technology risk currently, however, will have had a background in IT Audit recently.
Strong understanding of network administration / switching / routers / understand the principles of configurations / how does systems communicate and why do they become a problem / understand the route cause analysis.
Exposure to either AWS / AZURE or VPC (Virtual Private Cloud or Cloud experience will be highly advantageous.
Strong consulting, advisory skills needed with the ability to establish an inhouse IT Audit function.
Ideal candidate – CISA / CISSP / CISM / CRISC or other qualified, technical with excellent communication skills.
 
Well-developed written and communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships with stakeholders (internally / externally) are essential. You will be a strong team player and enjoy working in a forward thinking, collaborative team environment that offers a lot of flexibility and an abundance of future growth potential.
