Join this prominent Engineering firm, ASX listed as their Internal Audit Manager. You will directly report the Asia Pacific Head of Internal Audit and will oversee a small team of staff. We are looking for a skilled Audit professional and agile leader ready to step into a 2IC position. This position will have an element of still executing on internal audits, however you will manage the co-source provider that will assist in delivering to the audit plan.
 
The hiring manager is a vibrant and visionary leader looking for a dynamic, collaborative and pro-active professional that will take responsibility for the management and expansion of the audit department, establish the internal team culture, oversee operational audits across all areas of the business, be involved in future Cyber / Data Analytics projects and manage various stakeholders. Duties:
Manage and lead some audits end to end, including client interviews, fieldwork and testing and writing audit reports with findings
Manage and oversee the delivery of audits through the selected co-source provider (Big 4 firm)
Oversee a small team of Snr Auditors – guiding and coaching them
Further develop Computer Aided Auditing Techniques (CAATs) and Data Analytics to enhance the audit process
Support and assist in the annual audit plan, including  in the creation of vision for data analytics as part of the audit process
Past experience in SOX / financial statement controls would be advantageous but not essential
 
The ideal candidate:
Qualified or part qualified CA / ACCA / CPA / CIA or CISA OR
Degree with 6-10 years' experience in Internal Audit within a complex environment
Big 4 Firm or Chartered experience beneficial
Experience gained in the Engineering, Constructions, Infrastructure, Mining,  FMCG, Manufacturing, Production or Distribution environment advantageous
Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage with Executive stakeholders
Strong Risk and Control Mindset
