Senior  Governance Manager
Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months (Potential for Extension)
Location: SYDNEY
$230K package

Our client, a leading organisation undertaking a transformative governance program, is seeking an experienced Senior Governance Manager. This role supports the development and refinement of governance frameworks and processes to uplift corporate governance and ensure the effective operation of key decision-making forums.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in reviewing organisational governance processes, including executive-level committees, delegations, and accountabilities.
  • Support the development and implementation of governance frameworks and structures.
  • Execute project plans for initiatives such as enhancing delegations of authority, operationalising accountability frameworks, and improving governance committee operations.
  • Drive effective change management and secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Provide guidance, tools, and training to help teams understand and execute their governance accountabilities.
  • Develop training materials and write Board and Committee papers to support governance enhancements.
  • Facilitate information flows between boards and committees, and present updates at meetings.
  • Support the team with advice on legal, governance, and accountability matters.
  • Champion transparency and accountability within the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Experience and Skills
  • Background in legal, governance, and accountability roles.
  • Experience supporting governance reviews and implementing frameworks in a project environment.
  • Familiarity with executive-level committees, delegations, and accountability frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, governance, or a related field.
  • Strong commitment to transparency and accountability.
