About The Role:
As a Credit Risk Model Validation Manager, you will play a vital part in assessing and validating the accuracy and effectiveness of a range of credit risk models used across the organization.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct rigorous independent validation of credit risk models, including:
  • Probability of Default (PD) models: Logistic Regression, Survival Analysis, Machine Learning techniques
  • Loss Given Default (LGD) models: Regression analysis, segmentation models
  • Exposure at Default (EAD) models: Stress testing, scenario analysis
  • Scorecards: Application, behavioural, and portfolio management scorecards
Perform back testing, out-of-sample testing, and other relevant validation techniques.
Ensure model performance meets internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare comprehensive validation reports and present findings to key stakeholders.
Collaborate with model developers, business units, and other stakeholders to address model limitations and improve model performance.
Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices in model validation.


Requirements:
Proven experience in credit risk model validation within the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and their application in credit risk modelling.
Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, or SQL.
Tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
