Credit Policy Manager - 12 Month Contract 
 
About the Role:

A leading financial institution is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Risk Policy Manager to join their dynamic Risk Management team. In this critical role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's credit risk policy framework, with a focus on non-retail portfolios.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth analysis of existing credit risk policies, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement, with a particular focus on non-retail credit risk.
Develop and implement enhancements to the credit policy framework, including streamlining processes, improving clarity, and strengthening controls, ensuring alignment with relevant prudential standards (e.g., APS 112, APS 113, APS 220).
Monitor adherence to credit risk policies and identify potential breaches or compliance issues, ensuring timely escalation and remediation.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including business units, compliance, and risk management teams, to ensure effective policy implementation and adherence.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks associated with credit policy changes, considering both operational and reputational risks.
 
Requirements:

Proven experience in credit risk management, with a strong focus on non-retail credit portfolios.
Demonstrated experience in risk management, governance, and control frameworks within a financial institution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Solid understanding of relevant prudential standards, including APS 112, APS 113, and APS 220.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Finance, Risk Management, Law, or a related discipline.
