The Opportunity:
As General Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction, marketing, product development, and operational excellence of the Australian branch. Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, you will manage regulatory requirements, insurance operations and foster a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance across Underwriting, Claims Management, Compliance, and Product Management.
  • Develop strategies to improve financial performance, including revenue, gross profit, and operational expenses.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and maintain strong relationships with partners and suppliers.
  • Provide leadership in the development of innovative campaigns, systems, and procedures to drive operational consistency.
  • Mentor and inspire a diverse team to achieve high performance.

Day-to-Day Activities Include:
  • Regular communication with senior leadership on key business matters.
  • Attend strategic planning sessions and industry events to enhance business profile.
  • Analyse industry trends and adjust business strategies accordingly.
  • Support commercial negotiations and manage business risks.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support the vetting of potential investments.

Relationship Management:
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, suppliers, and partners.
  • Contribute to strategic objectives and support merger and acquisition opportunities.
