A high-profile enterprise organisation is undertaking numerous projects to develop new scalable and reliable services, as well as improving existing services and thus are looking to engage an experienced DevOps / Software Engineer to design and develop automated solutions to scale and speed innovation, whilst reducing development time and supporting Continuous Integration & Delivery Pipelines.

You will join a project team that undertake cloud environment support on a day-to-day basis and perform operational management of the applications/platforms to ensure change management, compliance, auditing controls are in place for cloud environments. Your role will be to deliver stable and functional software and support application software releases and development updates to guarantee performance, functionality and reliability objectives are met.

To be successful in this role, we're looking for a strong blend of the following skills / experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in platform software development and release management.
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of DevOps principles, practices and supporting tools
  • Experience implementing solutions on major Cloud Service Providers including AWS, or Azure and a very good awareness of platform security concerns.
  • Extensive experience designing, securing and automating cloud infrastructure (Compute, networking), continuously optimizing resources as per cloud best practices
  • Experience with design and build of AWS or Azure Integration services (like Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus or AWS API Gateway, AWS SNS / SQS services) and deep understanding of integration patterns such as RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, microservices, messaging, and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with tools usage of CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Ansible
  • Experience of using supporting tools related to logging, monitoring, alerting, and testing.
  • Proven experience working with C# in a professional setting with familiarity of using development tools and IDEs (Visual Studio, VS Code, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
