As they continue to strengthen governance frameworks, they seek an accomplished Assistant Company Secretary to play a pivotal role in supporting key governance structures and driving best practices.

The Role
As Assistant Company Secretary, you will ensure the effective governance of scheme management committees, working closely with committee chairs, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Your meticulous attention to detail, stakeholder engagement skills, and ability to navigate governance frameworks will be instrumental in upholding compliance and supporting decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Governance & Compliance: Oversee scheme management committees, ensuring adherence to governance frameworks and compliance requirements. Manage the annual nomination process for committee members.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organise committee meetings, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Agenda & Documentation: Collaborate with committee chairs to prepare structured agendas, document decision approval pathways, and track key actions.
  • Minutes & Records Management: Take detailed meeting minutes, maintain governance records, and ensure timely distribution of key documents.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key governance liaison between committees, business teams, and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with regulatory expectations.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience as a Company Secretary, Assistant Company Secretary, or Committee Secretary, ideally within fintech or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, compliance processes, and committee management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and governance-related software.
  • Governance Institute of Australia certification or legal/paralegal training (desirable).
