Our client is a financial services organisation with a focus to transform the way they deliver excellence and innovation. We currently have a need for a Senior Business Analyst with a strong data sourcing experience to undergo an exciting piece of work.  This opportunity is an inital 12+ month rolling engagement an hybrid working of 2 days in the office.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Business Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing source data and performing data mapping for regulatory reports . This role involves close collaboration with a diverse range of business and technical stakeholders to perform data analysis and explain data variances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze current and target data sources for regulatory reports supported by the EFS application.
  • Query and understand current data sources (via older copies of production data and files).
  • Understand target source data.
  • Identify and document any source data quality issues and articulate potential impacts on downstream consumption.
  • Extract and present insights from data to support the development, reconciliation, testing, and business acceptance of new regulatory reporting outcomes against current EFS regulatory reports.


Key Experience and Skills:
EFS Data Analysis:
  • Experience with Regulatory Reporting / APRA initiatives, preferably EFS.
  • Familiarity with EFS regulatory reports and data elements/attributes.
  • Strong understanding of data concepts used in regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to analyze derivations, business rules, and logic currently used for data flowing into the EFS application and from other alternate data sources.
  • Technical and Data Skills:
  • Strong SQL and Teradata skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-related projects and proficiency in data analysis and data mapping.

Industry Experience:
  • Experience in Basel III, APS220, or similar within the banking industry is advantageous.
