I am recruiting a Senior Risk Manager to join the line 1 risk team supporting Group Treasury for a big 4 bank in Sydney.
This division centralise the management of key Funding, Liquidity, market and Capital requirements faced by this bank globally.

The role would suit a Operational Risk professional with 6+ years operational risk experience and a background in Treasury or Financial Markets trading environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assist in the identification and Management of Group Treasury key risks and issues across the Group Treasury Value Chain
  • Identify relevant control gaps and/or weaknesses assist in the implementation of remediation.
  • Develop processes to effectively oversee key Group Treasury dependencies and monitor these on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead the assessment of risks in the Group Treasury Risk profile methodologies/KPIs to support management’s assessment/monitoring of the risk profile.
  • Monitor external risk landscape and emerging risks relevant to Group Treasury.
  • Oversee Manage Incidents/Issues/Controls on behalf of Group Treasury business controls and monitoring team.
  • Provide risk expertise to the business in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risk and controls issues to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in management of Scenario Analysis and Stress Testing where required for Operational Risk purposes
  • Engage and establish a strong working relationship with the business to ensure superior flow of information from 1st line risk to the business.
Role Requirements
  • 6+ years operational risk / compliance management experience, with some of your career spent within a Treasury or Financial Markets trading environment and/or
  • 10+ years of specific business / operations experience in a relevant area of the same or another financial services organisation;
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of domestic and offshore bank regulatory environment
  • AML/Financial Crime obligation experience would be considered favourably
