Senior Risk Manager – Strategic Risk & Compliance

Our client, an agile and fast-growing fintech, is seeking a talented Senior Risk Manager to take on a pivotal role within their Strategic Risk & Compliance team. What You’ll Do:
As the Senior Risk Manager, you’ll be a trusted advisor to executive leaders, delivering insights and guidance on risk management, compliance, and governance. This hands-on, strategic role will allow you to:
  • Risk Advisory: Offer expert advice to senior stakeholders on critical risk and compliance issues, challenging and supporting Line 1 risk teams to ensure best practices are embedded across the organisation.
  • Compliance & Controls: Oversee assessments to confirm compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and standards, conducting deep dives into key risk areas to foster a culture of accountability and improvement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Forge strong partnerships across the organisation, understanding varying needs and offering practical, tailored solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Continuous Innovation: Stay on top of industry trends and regulatory shifts, bringing forward new ideas and process improvements that keep the business agile, resilient, and ahead of the curve.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years in risk management, advisory, or compliance roles, with at least 3 years in a senior capacity within dynamic, high-growth environments.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry best practices, with a proactive approach to mitigating emerging risks.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into actionable insights and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: A collaborative mindset and demonstrated experience leading initiatives across functions, fostering a risk-aware culture, and mentoring colleagues to enhance overall risk practices.
