Our client a leading NSW Government Department have a position available for a Project Engineer with experience in Road Construction and Maintenance to join their team based in Singleton on a 6 month contract with high potential for extension.
 
Job Details: 
  • Development of maintenance and improvement program as well as monitor and report project progress and brief to ensure the delivery of projects as per the agreed milestone and cost.
  • Monitor and report on infrastructure project progress to evaluate current program and forward year impacts
  • Manage professional service contractors and internal service providers by preparing documentation, convening regular progress meetings, and managing deliverables to ensure that specified outcomes are achieved.
  • Co-ordinating and managing inputs from a wide range of professional service providers, including Engineering, environment, heritage, and engineering consultants, to develop project briefs.
  • Willing to look at part time for the right candidate
  • Opportunities around hybrid working - can't do 100% remote particularly for first few months would need them in office predominantly
  • Vehicle provided during work hours (not for personal use) Occasional night shifts
Required:
  • 10+ years experience
  • Road maintenance and construction background - this is non-negotiable
  • White card
Desirable:
  • Experience working within TfNSW or council (specifically in road maintenance)
  • Workers on Foot (can be arranged if they don't have it)
