Our client is an Internationally recognised brand that operates within the Financial Services sector, boosting an impressive international footprint. They are currently seeking the skills of an experienced Internal Audit Director, with extensive exposure gained within the Capital Markets, Institutional Banking, Commodity Trading or similar sectors.

The position will be based in Sydney; however relocation support will be offered to applicants from other regions or internationally that are actively looking to relocate.

The Internal Audit Director  will manage the end-to-end audit function and will lead a large team of audit team members. You will present at Committee level and will set the strategy and audit mandate for the Capital Markets, Institutional Banking, Commodity Trading etc. products.
 
The Candidate:
Proven track record dealing with Executives and a broad range of stake holders.
Can work with ambiguity and levels of “grey”.
Proven track record in managing small to medium size teams, with the ability to motivate & coach, including having the “less comfortable” discussions.
Gravitas in meetings and ability to present at Board and Sub-Committee level.
Proven history in leading and driving transformation initiatives.
Strategic thinker with passion and experience in the Investment Banking product suite.
 
To be considered for this vacancy, incumbents must have the following qualifications and experience:
CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, CISA, CIA or similar qualifications.
No less than 8 years' Internal / External Audit or Operational Risk  experience gained within the Financial Services (Insto and Markets), Mining and Metals, Energy, Oil and Gas, Agriculture or similar commodity trading environment.
Extensive exposure to any of the following - Capital Markets (trading, equity, derivatives, bonds, swops, OTC, FX etc.), Treasury, Securities, Trading, Market Risk and/or Credit Risk.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work within a pressurised environment.
Staff management experience essential.
 
VISA sponsorship offered for candidates with deep experience and understanding of the Capital Markets & Institutional Banking product suite.
