Risk In Change Manager – Leading Financial Institution

Our client, a respected financial institution, is seeking a highly experienced Risk In Change Manager to play a pivotal role in a transformative risk program. This is an opportunity to enhance Delivered Risk and Delivery Risk across an enterprise-wide initiative, ensuring robust risk practices support strategic growth.

About the Role

This role sits within a major Risk Management Uplift Program and provides independent assurance over key risk improvement initiatives. You will work closely with senior stakeholders—including the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team—to ensure program deliverables meet internal and external expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a consistent assurance approach across the program lifecycle, including methodologies for review, validation, and testing.
  • Conduct independent review and challenge of program artefacts, ensuring alignment with risk frameworks and regulatory expectations.
  • Assess workstream activities to identify Delivered Risk and Delivery Risk, recommending early course corrections.
  • Lead pre-validation of workstream closure deliverables before submission to independent assurance experts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular assurance reports highlighting risk areas and quality improvements.
About You
  • Strong experience in risk assurance, audit, or risk management within financial services.
  • Expertise in Risk In Change, Delivered Risk and Delivery Risk, Project Risk frameworks, and governance structures.
  • Ability to provide critical review and challenge in a complex environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills at the Executive level.
