Office Assistant – Operations & Events

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing Operations team where you will coordinate office functions, staff engagement initiatives, and event planning. You’ll enjoy the autonomy to develop your skills while contributing to a dynamic culture built on a history of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Office Operations:
    • Manage start/end of day procedures
    • Order and maintain office supplies and stationery
    • Provide office tours for new starters
    • Coordinate meeting room bookings and office fit-out projects
    • Manage supplier relationships and assist with day-to-day administrative tasks
    • Answer calls, welcome guests, and support the CEO and leadership team with ad-hoc tasks and calendar management
    • Oversee mail sorting, postage, and courier coordination
  • Engagement Initiatives:
    • Implement activities through the Wellness committee
    • Coordinate the staff newsletter
    • Manage staff birthdays, work anniversaries, farewells, and gift arrangements
  • Events Coordination:
    • Assist in planning and executing internal and external events
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role (Team Assistant, Office Coordinator, etc.)
  • Professional Office Background: Experience working in a law firm or professional office environment is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A personable, positive demeanor with a can-do attitude
